Lundin Petroleum completes exploration well in Norway

Lundin Petroleum AB (Lundin Petroleum) announces the completion of the exploration well 8/5-1 on the Ogna prospect located in Block 8/5, (PL453S), in the southern part of the North Sea sector of the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The exploration well 8/5-1 was targeting the Ogna prospect and reached target depth at approximately 2340 metres. The primary reservoir, of Jurassic age, showed poor reservoir quality. The well encountered no hydrocarbons and is being plugged and abandoned as a dry hole.

Lundin Petroleum is the operator of PL453S with 35 percent working interest. Partners are Noreco ASA and Det Norske ASA with 25 percent interest each as well as VNG Norge AS with 15 percent working interest.
